Sean slithered down the corridor as fast as he could, knife in hand, blood dripping down his arms. He had killed her. He simply couldn't believe it; he'd actually killed her!
"I have a new target for you, one I'm sure you must be quite familiar with," Mr. Aiken said as the naga's body was forced into a bow.
"I'll never--" Sean began before he was interrupted.
"Was I talking to you? Silence him!" At Mr. Aiken's command, Sean's lower arms clamped the palms of their hands over his mouth. "Better. Now, your next target should have no trouble trusting you. I want you to kill William Daniel Innicioni."
Alarms blared and the half-human prisoners pounded on the glass confining them. "Come on!" Alex yelled, galloping as fast as he could down the hall but having to stop every few minutes for the rest of them to catch up. "We have to get out of here!"
"We're coming!" Tasha screamed back, stumbling over her many legs. "You try running with the body of a giant spider!"
"At least you don't have to worry about a poisonous tail that could kill anyone you even accidentally sting!" Robert replied, scuttling along as fast as he could push his scorpion legs.
"Quit arguing and run!" Sean commanded, slithering ahead of them and almost catching up to Alex's tail.
"This is the final experiment, and then you can have your own wonderful cell here," Mr. Aiken whispered almost seductively into his ear. Or, he thought it was his ear. "You have proven to be so promising, and this --- ah --- change in your form will prove quite useful to my soldiers."
Yes, Sean thought, come closer so that I can sink my fangs into your neck you bastard!
"You cannot escape it, Sean," the old man said kindly. "This is your new life. But I will do all that I can to help you learn control over yourself, no matter what form you're forced into." He put an arm around Sean's soldiers and led him down the hall.
"Thanks, Dr. Lowson," Sean replied with a broad grin.

A Man In front of Me
In front of me sat a man.
His round face reminds me of mine.
His messy eye brow was just what his life was.
His wrinkles showed signs of ages and troubles he had been through.
His thick lips was the very one that yelled over me and over.
His big eyes that have seen so much of the world, was closed.
His beards, that he wasn't able to shave due to morning rush, was growing more and more.
His wide back, tanned from the sunlight in field, rested against the rocking chair.
His swollen wrist was from saving a cat and later was bitten by the very same cat.
His rough hands, worked hard for the family to live on.
His cracked feet, always hur

Awaken
The rush of nurses and the on-duty doctor flooded into the room, and one nurse was particularly forceful as she pushed William away from the bed.
"You have to wait outside," she said as she turned her back to him.
"I'm not leaving," was his response, and when the woman had turned back to insist, she'd nearly cowered from the look in his eyes, and she'd said nothing more as she turned back to do her job.
A nurse on either side of the bed. One took pulse and blood pressure, while the other checked the monitors and IVs. The doctor and another nurse looked over some charts, and the doctor finally stepped up to the side of the bed. In all of th

Say, snakes are affected by the cold, aren't they.
